As a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in the field of retail banking, Matt understands the importance of delivering an exceptional banking experience to clients. Throughout his career, Matt has consistently demonstrated his ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions. He has a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of retail banking, including digital transformation and the integration of emerging technologies to enhance customer engagement and streamline operations.
Matt is friendly, reliable, and an experienced banker, adept at handling deposits, consumer loans and small business banking needs. He is especially enthusiastic about the added resources at his disposal as Boundary Waters Bank merges with Highland Bank in August 2023. “Our combined organization will enable me to offer a broader, more competitive suite of products and services to customers, while retaining the relationships we have built over the years.” He looks forward to seeing the growth take hold.
Matt understands the value of familiarity. Raised in a military family, he lived in Georgia and South Carolina until his teens. That experience taught him flexibility, the importance of relationships and how to start again. Now settled and raising his family in Woodbury, he is active in the youth sports community where many of his relationships are formed. In his free time, you’ll find Matt cheering on the Vikings & Twins, grilling & smoking meat, and spending time hanging out with friends and family.
